A giant wakes, a shadow grows,
The world holds breath, nobody knows.
From East it comes, with mighty stride,
Where power used to softly ride.
For years, one star shone bright and far,
With strength and wealth, a guiding star.
Its voice was heard, its hand held sway,
Shaping the world, day by day.
But now a change, a different beat,
As China's steps on common street.
With trade and build, and tech so new,
Its influence spreads, for me and you.
Some say the stage is set for more,
Not just one king upon the floor.
But many powers, side by side,
Where different strengths can now preside.
Yet others watch, and shake their head,
The old strong power isn't dead.
With friends and might, and money's hold,
A different story can be told.
The question lingers, soft and deep,
As futures stir, while nations sleep.
Not who is top, but what will be,
When many powers share land and sea.
