Rose In Desert Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Rose In Desert

Rating: 4.5

Rose in desert

Was poet in garden
-lines and lines, flowers
-red roses smelled well
-were soft and looked great:
- "Flowers and dune-hills make good team;
-for ballet, sings latter and dances prior…"

He sat in sort of kneeled-squat
-was parent and in love with small toddler
-among leaves and stems in muddy cradle
-and of course, bodyguards
-thorns (brown)

Accurate, delicate, he stared
-and smiled at the thorns
-thought of dunes
-found them same in colour

With kindness, care and love
-lifted soil with fertile
-and water

He carried flowers
-planted in desert.

After s and the nights
-of roughness

In a week, discovered
-etiquettes do matter
-only with conditions

"Gas price will go up…"
-he heard the radio

Raced the cars to the pumps
-emptied were the shelves
- "Where the hell? Animal! "
-one shouted and he felt:
- "They, too, act as roses in desert!
-civilised! ? ? ? " he smiled! ! !
