Roxanne Poem by Ima Ryma

Roxanne

I heard 'Roxanne' and knew you sang
That song especially for me.
And I remember you, hot dang,
A long time ago that did be.
Just a couple of kids back then,
Both growing up and dreaming of
Future once upon a time when
We'd know the feeling of true love.
I guess fate's fickle by design.
I never found love, only lust.
You went your way and I went mine.
But share your feelings if you must.

So come over and spend some night
After I turn on the red light.
