I don't like rumors or gossip
I wish people would just stop it
Trying to hurt someone's feelings and reputation
Seemingly is their main fixation.
They like to pass on stories that they hear
A persons name they want to smear
They don't like that person at all
So, they want them to suffer and fall.
Of course it could be someone they are jealous of
So, into turmoil they want to kick and shove
They want no one to hear the other side of the story
So, sinfully the reputation of the other they want to destroy.
They do not ever seek out the truth
They haven't known it since their youth,
And they feel more powerful when they tell those lies
The Devil and his demons becomes their allies.
I wonder how a person who spreads rumors and gossip sleep
When their rumors and gossip causes someone to weep,
The pain they cause they cannot ever sever
They'll carry the evil that they had done and spoken forever.
I say, I would rather have a tumor
Than inside of me to have gossip and/or a rumor
The three causes of suffering and they will not leave
And they destroy the body and soul and causes others to grieve.
The rumors and the gossip that they will spread
Will remain with them long after they are dead,
Then when God looks at them on their judgement day
The Lord God will then speak, "What did you say! ".
