Run for glory

Give up nothing
but strive for something new
amidst growing uncertainty
and turning it into a possibility

despite being poor
you are showered
with torn strife and pain
yet you have maintained the dignity

your goal is lofty and within reach
your vision is in readiness to catch
the opportunity with an earnest zeal
you feel it as an instinct

'come what may' forms your ideal
that makes you steal
and put it as a feather in the cap
and go for another tap

you may be thwarted
for a time being and deterred
but you have a resolve to alter
and set the scale to move further
