Sacred Land Poem by Panagiota Romios

Sacred Land

Sacred Land

Going to climb a mountain.
No, not the kind you think!
This one is quite abandoned.
It's the big one that some have
not the courage to seek.

Others climb comfortable paths
with others.
But you and I? Why it bores us
to tears.
Challenge is our cherished and beloved brother.

You've known this for so long!
So pack that backpack very well.
You'll be going it, with joy, alone.
To me, the best way.
Independent, strong and singing your own song!
