Sacred Life Is Never: A Mere Life Cycle Metaphor Poem by Terence George Craddock

Sacred Life Is Never: A Mere Life Cycle Metaphor

behold the life cycle of a butterfly
a critic might say this is a mere cliche
metaphor for life: the mystic in perceived
appreciation might mind flow through
tapestry threads beholding a mesmerizing
mystique plan: a soul of faith might embrace
with rapture awe rejoice in miracle creation

the first is an eye of cliche scorn
discarding a life cycle revealing
miracle wonder in search of fleeting
dubious images new: the second is
an eye of perception search immersing
in mysteries cosmic immense beauty
life renewal: the third is an eye of faith

rejoicing in fresh joy as bubble birth
miracles of creation occur constantly
in rebirth sacred life: weave calling
to human souls to embrace ecosystems
to perceive appreciation preserve:
all mysteries in miraculous cosmos
cycles of life ever blinking into life
