There are places I remember, when the road I trod was long
There are reasons I just stand alone, and then burst into song
To keep my sanity intact, I have to sing out loud
And usually I'm on my own, so it doesn't draw a crowd
The lonely path I've taken, might be something I'll regret
But being on my own has not quite hit me badly yet
I stride with utter confidence, in everything I do
Because my life is solitary, there lies a subtle clue
So if I leave the loneliness behind me for too long
Thinking it ie meaningless, or maybe something's wrong
I'll never quite enjoy myself, because it's just the way I am
Surrounded by nothing and empty dreams, a sad and lonely man.

A solitary life is not always lonely. It is peaceful and calm. A heartfelt poem. An exultation of solitude. Splendidly penned and rhymed.10
