Saddest Days Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Saddest Days

Saddest days are looming,
when we must go our separate ways.
You - the nearest side of Heaven
Me - a thousand miles away.

I will search the heights for thee
and you will search the lows for me
but we may never find each other,
our love no more to be!

Your name, I could call out aloud,
but you may never ever hear
I could call you 'precious treasure'
'darling', 'dearest dear'...

But you could be lost
forever and ever.
This is my doubt,
this is my fear.
