Sadness Poem by Zoran Bogdanovic

Sadness

I suffer silently inside
bit by bit
the pain constantly follows me
doesn't quit

the physical one I withstand
even outwit

but years, minutes and hours
ache me the most
all that I love slowly dissipates
until it's lost

habits irreversibly change
people die
there are many of them
for whom I cry

my gaze keeps wondering away
into the sky

the years pressed every hour
and every minute
I suffer silently inside
bit by bit

We often suffer 'silently inside bit by bit' after losing a loved one. A sad but beautiful poem. Loved the rhyming too.
