Sage Vyasa Poem by Ravi Panamanna

Sage Vyasa

Rating: 3.5

Oh! Poet of all poets,
Our salutations!
From thy pen
It was a divine flow
Embracing all eons.

From the remoteness of caves
Unto every deserted soul
It was a lingering call.
Like the timeless Ganges
Thy verses remain ageless!

Upon thy chest
It was an endless parade.
Life in all hues presented a theme
And epics were born -
To all generations it served a boon.

What a plot!
What a staggering stage!
What a mighty pen!
Verses flowed
Like a ceaseless spring.

And thy graceful heart
To us finally gifted
The tale of the Divine Spirit.
What a depth! Divine Song!
We are really blest!

Mahabharatham* shows the trudges of life
Bhagavatham* shows the need of spiritual support.
One shows the thorny path,
The other gives us the torch of life.
Divine harmony is the current of life.

Oh! Poet of all Poets!
Our salutations!
From the remoteness of valleys
Thou art still a living echo-
We place our works before you.

No True Indian can say That the epic of Mahabaratham does not reflect our glorious past, which if we read and truly try to understand and follow its dictates, no sorrow will befall us in this life. Bagahvatam a work of parables full of symbolism unless a Guru enlightens us we may miss it for some collection of mere stories of the past. The explanation of the cycle of life and Maya as expounded in Bhagavath Gita may not be found anywhere else. What ever be our religion we should all be of such open mind to accept and imbibe the goodness of other religions too and mainly learn from our glorious rich heritage and culture. The pride inside us will be a motivation to be better Bharathiya Vasis out of us. A great Tribute to the Sage and greatest poet known! Angel

Whatever is written in Mahabharata, you would find it everywhere, whatever is not written, you won't find anywhere...........A Sage, with triple time vision, who did not write for pleasure, but as an instrument of divine. Many things he wrote is symbolic and only the man with divine experience and vision can know the true hidden meaning in his stories.Indian civilization will always remain indepted to him forver for the knowledge he poured out in Mahbharata and devotion is he poured out in Srimad Bhagavatam............a great tribute to the greatest saint...........a good write.........

Sage Valmiki and Sage Vyasa are our eternal Gurus. Every literal art started from them only. What a great tribute this poem is to the Sage of sages, poet of poets. Your simple and effective way of expression is extraordinary and exqusite.
