Sailed Back Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Sailed Back

“No, no, I shall not remain on”
And maintain
The relation
That is very much in question!

I know she was teasing
And releasing
A new barrage of salvo
Clear indication for me to go

I was also an adamant person
Decided not to leave without knowing reasons
“Longtime” she came out with an explanation
Was it clear signal for ending relation?

“She is lady with open smile”
This is not her style
I decided to wait some more time
It will be worst if I also decline

So I mustered her support
Sailed back to port
To venture again
Without feeling ill will or pain
