Saint Poem by Kerstin Hensel

Saint

God, I give up.
I'll make a monkey of myself too.
The worm
is ticking time away
under the wooden blindfold
of deaf
and stupefied dumb
humanity.
Is that my pedestal
wobbling
as I sit gobbling
television
through simian cataracts?
