Salt Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Salt

The history of salt, though not recorded, is rich
For millenniums, the salt has been an exchange
Buying fruit, meat, skin, honey also other things
But now in front of my house on the street and
At the ice and snow time, when road is slippery
Salt, a preserver of spoiling and the food’s taste
Spoils my car, my shoe also my pants at my feet
