Sandcastles Poem by Adrian Antique

Sandcastles

remember …
those golden castles we've built
on the beaches
of our make-believe -
I've kept them
in the furrows of my heart.

i've clothed them
with colors
painted by your voice …
and sprinkled them
with moonshine
awakened by your laughter.
they still gift me with visions
that make music
in my soul.

now …
our dreams
have grown beyond our sleep …
and our footprints
are lost
in the rivers of time.
yet …
what our hands
have touched
and our spirits have shared
will linger far
into the oceans
of our silent …
sweet …
forevers.
