Rose Of My Heart Poem by Adrian Antique

Rose Of My Heart

i hold a wisp of petals deep within my soul -
it is my strength, my little garden, my whole.
i carry it wherever I go and even when I sleep,
when I meet life's drizzles and storms, and when I weep.

a circle of affection with ocean waves on her tips,
a flurry of raindrops, a kiss on my lips -
this crown so priceless, a gift from my Maker …
after taking my light away one night in September.

waters my hope with whispers of longing,
helps me breath when I'm confused and drowning …
a vibrant ember cradled within my innermost -
the torch of my darkness until I reach the coast.

it is not crimson like a pound of blood,
or flawless white to be dirtied by a flood …
my quiet hidden flower is almost purely blue
like a taste of heaven's joy and wonder so true.

love then is a musical theme that keeps on rewinding
especially when I am lost and need reminding …
that despite the turmoil and infinity that are surrounding,
I do have a rose in my heart just silently smiling.
