Save Me Poem by Rebecca Paul

Save Me

Rating: 5.0

Desperate I cling on.
Hopeless, useless.
I pray for you to save me.
Please come save me.
Your tender words cannot
Help me here.
I feel their emotion
And meaning,
But they do not hold me
As you could.
Laughter spurs the one moment,
The one gorgeous second in time,
Where it's almost the norm.
Almost like you are not far
From my touch.
The moment vanishes,
And I am left wishing for you
Again.
I need your loving guidance
To save me.
Please come save me.
Your ethereal presence
Withstands Hellfire and
Broken hearts.
So many promises
Feel so unreal, unnatural.
The only anaesthetic that
Heals, breaks me down
Till I am bare in front of you.
You can see my heart pound,
The blood coursing through
My veins.
My bones quiver at
Your sight.
But you see much deeper
Than one might think.
You watch my soul.
You can see who I am.
Who will I be.
And I sing for you to save me.
Please come save me.
Every quirk and imperfection
Shows me true character.
True love.
True honesty.
Let me love you or
Watch me fall.
My lonesome soul yearns,
It breathes, it
Hardens.
Pour your vivacious water
Into the depths of my
Inner-most being.
And I cry for you to save me.
Please come save me...
