can you see it in her eyes
does it take you
by surprise
did you find
your deeper connection
when she looked
in your
direction
did you skip a step
or miss a beat
have you lost your breath
in her fumbling
with her keys
or the mumbling
as she leaves
do you understand
have you ever hoped
she were at your side
when you wake
in the night
do you feel alone
is she on your mind
could this ever make you feel alive
