Edgar Ramos

Savior - Poem by Edgar Ramos

She is drowning in a pool of her tears
And I hold the life vest to help her float

She is speeding at a wall of confusion
And I hold the brakes to slow her impact

She is falling rapidly into a pit of loneliness
And I hold the parachute to delay her feet from meeting the ground

She is at a fork on the road of her future
And I hold the map to the best path to choose

But all I can do is sit and watch
Watch her crash and burn
Watch my heart burn in the rubble with her

Deep and profound, and introspective all throughout. (Report) Reply
