Scammers Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Scammers

Beware of friendly scammers.
They may have great grammar…
But, their tongues speak with lies
Pleading to kind hearts for a prize.

They ask for a much-needed donation.
Don’t be generous with your information.
It is sad but true; some thieves can sleep…
Peacefully, after your savings they keep.

Deception can line empty greedy pockets.
False fronts should be on court dockets.
With a head shake of disbelief, I wonder…
How anyone can be so phony and plunder.

Although there are many reputable charities
Observations reveal that dupes are not rarities.
It is my intention to bring forth an alertness…
Perhaps it can prevent a victimized inertness.
