Scars Poem by Oluwafemi Oladunni

Scars

Mark my words,
Take my actions,
Heal not my wounds,
But take away the pain.

Do not cover my scars,
For they are lessons to be told,
I scoffed instructions and disregarded warnings,
Swiftly distracted by the noise.

I was consumed in my fear,
I choose to follow my path,
And fell deep in my mess,
pitching dreary scars.

Absorbing the pain
Patching up every mistake
Tracing back my ways
Never to scorn warnings
