Scene In Time By Eli And Rabbi Kohn

flowers tinkle their petals off
angels flap their wings slowly
sunbeams bounce back to the sun
I rustle my pillow in your serene absence
touch my breasts like they are 2 plump crystals
thread bells into my hair
and wait for me to walk towards you
can you hear me coming?
the milk is frothy and creamy
the berries are round and ready
I imagine we eat them together
time-travel back to my mouth
And stay besides time
inside my heart
inside secret chambers
beyond aortas
until the pull of my bloodstream
calls them to the scene
and angels make love to each other
their wings parted just so
fall timelessly through a spot in a cloud
and reverse your doing
time-travel back with me
until I have never met you
and all we have is a scene empty
of us, overtaken by seraphs
who, naked and calm, delight in our could-have-been
who, full of our lust ask to be human
who, warmed by our milk ask to be babies
And frozen in time, warm-up until
bloodstreams grow in their hands
And we hear distant bells
ringing from them on our separate paths
