Sea And Sky Poem by Kwai Chee Low

Sea And Sky

Rating: 5.0

Blue sea merges with the sky,
where does the sea ends
and the sky begins?
The day hot and long,
cools with the colours of sunset.
Cawing seagulls hover above the waves,
in search for a last meal.

The salty breeze weaves in untiringly,
fluttering leaves on windswept boughs,
a soft unending song at the tail of the wind.
Incoming waves have a music of their own,
as the tide relentlessly sweeps in.
Dusk soon descends, a purplish mask
enveloping sea and sky.

Flitting fireflies, glowing
in their yellowish green attire,
light up the shore.
Not to be outdone,
a pale moon above brightens,
from hiding behind the clouds.
Stars shimmer in harmony.
