Searched Him In Depths And Heights Poem by Mohammad Younus

Searched Him In Depths And Heights

Searched Him in depths and heights,
Found there exists no place without Him.
Even the minute creature—
deep beneath the earth's embrace—
Is not beyond the Lord's reach, beyond His light.
His rays pierce every veil of darkness,
Illuminating and dispelling shadows of illusion's might.

If I seek refuge beneath the shade—
Walls I've built where light is delayed—
It's by my own hands that these barriers rise,
A prison of mind, where my spirit lies,
Cold, dark, and withdrawn from skies.

The sun cascades with steadfast grace,
Illuminating dark corners with endless embrace.
He never withdraws His light; it is I who hide,
Turning from warmth, retreating to darkness inside.

Let me demolish these walls I've raised,
Step from the darkness, to light upon light.
Out of confinement in the dungeon of mind,
Into vast space where the eternal sun glows bright—
Where truth unravels, and the authentic self ignites.

I walk toward the echoing call, the ringing bells,
Shattering illusions that clouded my sight.
For every step into divine light's embrace
Is a step away from self-made prisons of night.
