Searching Poem by Jon M. Nelson

Searching

I sit here as the rain pours down
All by myself, with no one around.
I have to find my way back home,
I'm lost out here and I'm all alone.

What do I do, where do I go?
If I don't try, then I'll never know
It's now the beginning of a brand-new day.
I have to go and try to find my way.

I'm searching for my soul, searching for the truth,
I have to do it now while I still have youth.
I know I'll find myself out here,
I just have to conquer my fear.

When all is said, and all is done,
Then half the battle is already won.
It's all over now I can see the light,
The search is over there's no more fight.
