Jennifer was looking for salvation
She then began to search her nation,
The Lord God, she wanted and needed to find
She didn't want to be left behind.
She started first in her own little city
So, she started worshiping and study Catholicity,
But, there she couldn't find the Lord
So, then to the Baptists she went toward.
Their religion and belief she practiced
As she worshipped with the other Baptists,
But, she couldn't find God there either
Nor with the Methodists or Pentecostal neither.
She went through many, many different searches
By going to many different churches,
She even went to synagogues and temples
To be taught of their fundamentals.
She even prayed with a different prayer
But, sadly she never found God there,
She then went to different denominations
And learned of their Christian foundations.
And when God wasn't found
To another church she was quickly bound,
Then she got on a plane and went to find God
As she went and traveled abroad.
She went to Israel and them off to Rome
But, she couldn't find him there so she came back home,
She never gave up on her spiritual quest
She needed and wanted to be blessed.
So, she went to different churches to find him
While always singing God praises and a hymn,
But, when she couldn't find him in a week or two
To another church she quickly went to.
Then the day came when she ended her searching
She would finally meet God in person,
Her work and life on earth was finally finished
In life her search was never diminished.
In front of God on her knees she did say
Lord why couldn't I find you at Church on any day,
Then God said to her with bereft
Whenever I was getting closer to you, you always left.
