Seasonal Depression Poem by Rick Elpers

Seasonal Depression

At a loss to escape
The inferno within
Only the the smoke visible
To the surrounding populace
Although calm in appearance
The interior weather is dark
Seriously dangerous
And I have to quell the urges
To consider death as a solution
Since death will eventually
Take all of us
So today's work is centered
On life one minute at a time
Hoping for hope
Praying to release this illness
Until god has decided to enter
New stimulation easing the burden
Wondering if I'll take the hint
So do I
