Second Impressions Poem by britt jack

Second Impressions

Swing and sway towards my way
but no matter what I'm not latching on
to every word you say
Keep me close with your hidden charm
expose it out when you have nothing better to do
You let me go for you're convenience
three months pass by and you're closer than ever
wanting me to fall on my hands and knees
and bleed for the one that caused me so much pain
the pain which now I've long past refrained
You torture my feelings left and right
grip me back like you know me again
you're jealous of my mental capability
Now it's I that staggers over you on the worst of your days
building a city over the evaporating charm
I'm sticking to what I have
I won't let you burn my city to ashes
