Secondary Hue Poem by D.N. Rebb

Secondary Hue

A deep cadmium natural inexperienced life
Closely watch the Welsh leeks broil slowly in chives
Like the Roughriders' energy at Taylor Field
As all dollar bill expenses are thoroughly peeled
Fresh envy to the inexperienced over-sensitive
Around the gills is a term that's a tad negative
The white pine forests of the Canadian north
In early spring, that rebirths fresh life forth
A traditional authentic Irish wool cardigan
Room for performers to have a relaxing plan
Emerald eyes enticing a poetic revolution
Assisting with depressing anxiety to loosen
The vibrancy of a well-manicured English garden lawn
Calming attributes to meticulously depend on
Now, a jealous representation of greedy wealth
Symbolizing a future recycle to a better health
A camouflaged olive- peace reflection that militarily soothes
Promoting change for our upcoming innocent youth
Watch for envy-eyed monsters that can't be trusted
In need for a hopeful, healthy, adventurous adjustment
As avid gardening thumbs faithfully know,
There's always something better where new grass grows
