Secrets Of The Wind Poem by zaheer uddin

Secrets Of The Wind

The mellow sunshine of the fading day
whispers secrets to the wind
quiet thoughts of you
keep drifting my way
with the cool breeze from the sea-

i need you more than the autumn leaf
which craves the bondage of the tree
unable to let go dreams of spring
and hopes of summer blooms- -
until the wind breaks it clean
to float it on its whims- -

i crave you more than the dew drop
that craves the passion of the rose
which held it close to its heart all night- -
bewildered at the one night stand
it fiercely clings on to the thorns
till the sun shatters its dreams- -

I love you more than the morning star
that sails through the moonlit night
on clouds of hope and oars of prayer
unable to win the moon's heart - -
it burns itself in the flames of desire- -
