I lost my heart to a damsel
for a smile, a hug and tears of love

Promises made under the setting sun
with fingers crossed and a sunny smile
phony fights and tears of joy
and the names that are still etched upon the trees- -

Never ending walks on the soft wet sands
with fingers locked and hearts entwined
Sandy shoes and starry nights
for a smile, a hug and tears of love

On a stormy night
feelings got entangled
in the sails of the gales
trust was uprooted-
leaving behind a void
never to be filled again
Endless wait like a ghost
haunts the streets in the frosty night
blurry visions of her return
and the hope that still refuses to die- -

With dead memories and a frozen heart
i urge on myself to move on with life
blocking out days of bygone summers
when a day from the past
spills as a tear drop
opening flood gates of burning sunsets
streaming down my face- -

Memories rush in - -
