See Me Falling Poem by Russel Nuñez

See Me Falling

Avalanche warning;
Global warming.
If you saw a tree,
You should see me falling,

Crumbling in pain.
Broken windowpane;
If it pours tonight,
You can't wipe off the rain.

Feel the ground breaking;
Which mine for the taking.
If you herd the cull,
You should hear me falling,

Calling out your name,
Like a moth to a flame,
If it spoils the night;
You can't wear off the shame.

Storm clouds gathering;
Cotton candy rushing.
If you think about it,
You should know I'm falling,

Catching up a plane.
Jokes to entertain;
If it stays over night,
You can't laugh off migraine.
