Seed Pearl Not The Rose

seed pearl not the rose that it may lovelier shine

or drop a stitch into the wishing well of Time

embroidering not the falcon nor the falconer's hand

let the bird that we called poetry

fly free that it may sow the skies with silver

so that the trees of jade weep

weep into the mirroring waters.
