Self-Portrait - Poem by Kate Breeze

Dark, murky,
Shit infested
Mind boggling
Swamp Brain.

The bitter sweet smell of
Festering insanity.
Too polluted to
Take a dip.

Choppy upstream current.
Finally still.

There you are my reflection.
The creature of the black lagoon.

I am wondering why your ratings are so low... they don't deserve to be at all. I love the way your mind works. I love your choice of words. You are an amazing writer who can capture a moment then permit others to experience it. Thank you for that.

    Hi Kate,
Short but you captured exactly what you were feeling. I found it a little sad, which means I really did enjoy it. Well done.
