Self Vanity Poem by Daniel Miltz

Self Vanity

By the time
I spotted myself
As a baby peering in the mirror
I fell in love with me
I looked so fine and sweet
That's how I remember
Our first meet
From that moment
I kept thinking daily
Day and night
How I was a pretty baby
Thereafter, every hour
In the mirror together
I was able to eye so fine
And render image mine
I became bound
Wide and deep, all-around
More than a heartbeat can sound
I say, ''I love myself''
Every minute and more
Still to this day
