Selfish Poem by David Harris

Selfish

Rating: 4.2

When we are young,
we are selfish
and want all the fruit on the tree.
As we grow older
we respect everything that is there,
and only want a little
of what stands before us there.
We become unselfish
and the word is replaced with share.
As we grow, older
all we want to do is share.
