Senior Blues Poem by Panagiota Romios

Senior Blues

Rating: 3.8

        Senior Blues

Oh, the excruciating job of finding
a comfortable pair of shoes!
And why do we fall asleep so darn
early at night?
Driving after sundown is a fright!
Hey, gravity, stop pulling on my face!
There's a younger man I wish to date!
Desiring to dance like a sexy Sambista, but ending up on the floor?
Can you please help me bring the groceries in?
Stop staring at me~that's no sin.
By the way, what's my cousin's phone number, I forgot.
Seniors to God, so very dear!
What's that you said, my dear?
So sorry, I cannot hear!
