Sennen Cove, Cornwall Poem by DM W

Sennen Cove, Cornwall

O the wide, soft, golden sands of Sennen Cove
Are simply glorious for one to behold!
In summer time, keen bathers can make their dreams
Come true, by basking in the azure blue sea.
The small village is picture- postcard perfect
With neat houses and gardens. Every artist
Should endeavour to visit this wondrous place
At least once in their lifetime. It glows with grace
And beauty; so rare in garish modern times.
For troubled poets and painters, in decline,
It is silver- lined. O they can retreat here,
Imbibe the fresh air, and let go of their fears!
Perhaps, they can slowly, but surely, compose
A masterpiece inspired by the light that flows
Here like the waves. The blithe spirit that stems here
Is one that can't be bought or sold. Its warm breeze,
If truth be told, is more precious and rarer than gold.
Here new possibilities constantly unfold.
