Sensuous Sorrow Poem by William Jackson

Sensuous Sorrow

To savor you
if only for one hour-.
I tremble at the thought-
such sensuous sorrow.

Drinking you in,
the softness of your skin-
I tremble.

Your lips pressed to my palm-
my fingertips gliding along
your cheek and the nape
of your neck and then
down the full length
of your lower back.

To kiss your face,
to feel your embrace,
and then the soft rain
of my tears when we part-
I tremble.

A wonderful poem, and yet it seems so intimate as well. I felt that i was the one in the poem being touched. (no pun intended please) A very good poem. A pleasure to have read it and an Honor to write a comment.
