Separation Sur Le Fleuve Kiang. (Translation) .
Ko-Jin va a l'ouest de Ko-kaku-ro,
Les fleurs de fumee sont brouillees au-dessus du fleuve.
Sa seule voile efface le ciel lointain.
Et maintenant je ne vois que le fleuve,
Le long Kiang, qui atteint le paradis.

What I have written is a translation of a translation. Pound studied and translated old Chinese manuscripts and poems, then translated them very well into English. 'Ko-Jin' means 'Old friend' and refers to the Chinese poet Meng Haoran. It is a beautiful lyric, like the River Kiang which reaches up to heaven.
