Serenity Poem by Danielle Beechum

Serenity

Every night you take me
By the hand and lead me into
A new world, The lovemaking
Begins

With the gentlest words and
The softest whispers,
You make love only
To my mind

I am lost in your love,
Entangled in your thoughts of
Happiness, of serenity, of peace.
Our minds are one until the
Light of a new day crashes
Upon earth filling her every crevice.
Her every crease.

After you depart
I walk around in the essence
Of you.
I gather every sound, every scent
That you left behind.
I spread them across my life,
I roll around in my happiness,
I breathe your love and I become high.
