Shaded Repose Poem by james watkin

Shaded Repose

Hot and fagged, girl, now exposed
To no weather at all.
Hung o'er of this enclasping
Strength of bulging sinews.
Flexed, a hundred years! Which strews
For leafed boughs, repose.

One, in love's arms, so adored
So shielded from every
Head-spun ache, life-harsh, about
Roars antagonistic
If so buzzed, who's thoughts frantic
Quicker do compose.
