Once long ago
when the shadow of time...
had barely begun
to creep across the sky
in the dawn of pre-history
I alive knew you...
Your hair was corn blond
your eyes deep dark coals...
beneath surface brown calling
eyes etched with dark eye-brows
ached above as hallowed frames
marking entrance to inner soul of knowing...
Your lips filled shaman me
with long past longing...
when your vibrant voice
spoke of through rock wisdom
walking through time spirit landscapes
of our echo long past ages...
Then now I knew you
in this time spun incantation...
your skin is a deep golden brown
brain burns with eyes far seeing
burning with memories of pre-dawn
your figure willow supple slender...
bountiful deer spirit bounding
upon breath wind our primeval joy...
face etched from nature past
cured swift with joy of our being
decisive strokes drawn upon canvas
stretched across ages of our knowing...
