Shadows Poem by Edna Carroll

Shadows

If love were my teardrops,
an ocean~they would fill.
If love were my memories,
the earth would stand still.

Have you heard a heart breaking
and the awesome sounds of despair?
~To reach out for something familiar
and know that it won't be there?

If love could taste all the pain
that you have experienced before,
would you search for it again
and repeatedly ask for more?

Chashing those past shadows~
knowing the sadness that will hurl~
I wouldn't have chosen the pain,
but I wouldn't have missed it
for the world! !

Dont know what you've been through or are presently going through but i am here to tell you that you should never stop trying. I am a perfect example of what it means to be in love and also to be out there searching and reaching for someone that you thought would always be there...If i had to choose, i will choose love and please, so should you...thanks for sharing.
