Shadows Of Life Poem by Themba Mngomezulu

Shadows Of Life

Rating: 5.0

In the realm of shadows, where daylight fades,
Life's heavy chains upon our spirits weigh.
Unfairness paints the dawn in muted shades,
A prison built from dreams that fade away.

Challenges arise like mountains steep,
Injustice reigns, our cries remain unheard.
Our hearts, though strong, in silence deeply weep,
For life's embrace feels cold and cruelly true.

Dreams like fragile glass are crushed and broken,
Hope becomes a whisper lost in the night.
Time drags on, each breath a painful token,
In this cruel jest, we search in vain for light.

In shadows deep, despair's cold grip we feel,
For only death's cold touch can make us real.
