Shattered Poem by Marilyn Jean

Shattered

Deep down in me, wrecked
Here and there all ruined
An standing on this devastation
A soul all blue and broken

Because once they were there
Because once they looked fair
Because once asleep they dream
Because once under the stars

Seeing something in full light
They stopped pretending
And daring to remember
Or hoping to be happy
How so special this
So much wanted
Even more
Yet was not
Them out
Changed nothing
Shattered forever
