She Poem by Cormac S G Hoare

She

Love is a thing complex
More than just average sex
I feel with you a hot flame
Forever will it be my shame

You I wish I had forsaken
For you were already taken
Another man calls you dear
Yet for him I shed no tear
Even as you plan your vow
I long for you even now

You and I have our bond
Of which I am really fond
Us continuing to meet
Keeps developing the heat
Our affair was awfully curt
Though he will be sorely hurt

Though love it is surely not
You will still tie your knot
And in my heart I truly feel
That a love for you was never real
You were elemental lust
While your ring will surely rust

See, I too had an amour
Whom I treated rather poor
A wonderfully beautiful girl
More precious than an ocean pearl
Forgive me though she did
And reattempt a lover's bid

Though lasting it was not to be
I, too shameful you can see
Seeking end to this tragic tale
I am simply much too male
Tempted so by her was I
I found myself begin to lie
Much as love does to us all
It causes us to always fall.
