She, An Impossibility Poem by Mohammad Ashek Shaahid

She, An Impossibility

Rating: 5.0

I craved to reach to her
She raised a wall
Of differences and inequalities
By far.
I sailed in her life
A tiny boat, a mighty river
She spawned a wave and
Tore me asunder.
I strove to ascent her sky
She threw me into abyss
Of hopelessness and there
Stupefied, I lie.
I waited and yearned for
The good days to come
She stretched my ordeals
Ad infinitum.
Insignificant yet alluring
Never lets go of me
A dream or delusion, she
An impossibility.
