I been proud of every woman that I have been with
That is no lie or even a myth,
I been proud of every woman with whom I stood
And my soul knew that was true and good.
I been proud of every woman that I have ever held
Even when outside a battle quelled,
And whenever after a war or a battle had been fought
Never would I say or believe that I knew her not.
Whenever a woman held onto my arm
She always brought me both pride and charm,
A woman's hand never was I ever ashamed to hold
Myself being always honest and also bold.
Unto no woman have I ever lied or cheated
She was always the first one that I happily greeted,
I was the one the woman happily did dismiss
I was betrayed, with a Judas kiss.
