She Died And All Was Lonely Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

She Died And All Was Lonely

She died and all was lonely
Nevermore shall love I find
In the sadness, tears were swallowed
A raging war formed deep inside

Where pleas are loud and silent
In dreams, who hears a heartfelt cry
Nothing to forgive is ever forgotten
When love leaves, you slowly die

Dear life, do Thee remember-
A prayer a child once believed
That all is good in heaven
Why do the innocent deceive

Darker are the hours-
And for mine are, longer days
Shattered for a promise
Giving rise to endless rage

If therein exists an unfathomable darkness
With a wish for once believed
To realize, is one more nightmare
When you finally fall asleep
